What's Happening?

Ok. I'm not the best blogger. I don't stay up to date with everything. I'm currently working on baby hats and sweaters. The baby hats are for Stitches from the Heart. It's our project for the 2012 summer. We meet at the little Alpine Library every Thursday for the summer, then back to Tuesday nights in the Fall. I guess we just enjoy each other's company. If someone can't make it, that's ok. It's a loose attendance. Besides, we are gathering the locals to our little popular meeting. Even others from the Tuesday night class. Got to finish a pair of socks for Rob. I think I made them too small and too short. I'm finishing up a very cute baby hoodie. I might start at baby blanket afterwards. I'll go back to baby hats soon. Have lots of partial skeins of yarn that are perfect just for little hats. My favorite so far is the simple one: Using #3 DP needles, DK or sport weight or baby weight yarn: CO 72 Rib (K2, P2) for 6 rows SS until hat is 3 1/2 inches. Close with K4, K2tog around K3, K2tog around K2, K2tog around K1, K2tog around K2tog around Cut yarn. Sew top together. Makes a little hat quickly. My last entry, I was hoping 2010 and 2011 were going to be better. Nothing has been better, just the same. I'm doing more traveling which helps with distraction from my problems (or I should say other people's problems). I seem to be caught up in my kid's world. For self protection, I am distancing myself. I really don't need to be involved with their business.
